Beverage Specialist Certificate Course Site

Welcome!

The SWE Beverage Specialist Course Site is designed to serve as an adjunct study site to the SWE Beverage Specialist Certificate Study Guide.  Each navigation button on the top of the site corresponds to a chapter in the guide.  You will find on this site, as well as in the study guide, all of the information needed to pass the final certification exam.

To navigate the course, just follow the links on the bottom of each page.  You can also get started by clicking on a chapter button in the navigation bar.

You can study the chapters in any order, but be sure to use the flashcard decks and take the practice quizzes along the way.  These study tools are not required, but are designed to serve a useful purpose in the program and are well worth your time.

When you have completed all the modules to your liking, follow the instructions on the button labeled Certificate Exam in order to take your final exam.

The chapters are as follows:

  1. Beverages in the Marketplace
  2. Nonalcoholic Beverages
  3. Wine Defined
  4. Wine Service Defined
  5. Grape Varieties
  6. Old World Wines (Reading the Wine Label)
  7. New World Wines (Reading the Wine Label)
